Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and ensuring a safe environment for all. Duties
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to detect suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, including medical emergencies, utilising first aid procedures when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.
- Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and authorisation of personnel and visitors.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or damages promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and monitoring procedures.
- Valid first aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.
- A responsible attitude with high levels of integrity and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including nights or weekends if necessary.
