Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Event Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and premises during various events. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring event activities, preventing loss or damage, and responding promptly to any incidents. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular surveillance of event areas using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify potential security threats.
- Monitor entry and exit points to control access, verifying credentials and managing guest lists efficiently.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, providing first aid assistance when required and liaising with emergency services if needed.
- Enforce venue policies and ensure all safety protocols are adhered to by attendees and staff.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with team members regarding security issues.
- Assist in crowd control measures during peak times to prevent overcrowding or disorderly conduct.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid or emergency response training is advantageous.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert over extended periods.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an approachable demeanour.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, or special events as required.
