Overview
Greensleeves are one of the UK's largest lawn treatment providers delivering high quality, affordable lawn care services to gardens across the UK. We specialise in all aspects of lawn treatments to create lush, green, healthy lawns. We are recruiting for a lawn operative to cover all of the Worcestershire area working within a 2-person team. The role will initially be seasonal and part time: 2-3 days per week in Spring and Autumn months, with potential for the right candidate to be taken on full-time eventually.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Job Function
To carry out planned service programme on customers lawns - spreading fertiliser, spraying herbicides, scarifying, hollow tining, clearing and interacting with customers.
Customer Service
Ensure that customer service is of the highest level, carrying out tasks accurately as trained and planned, with attention to detail key. Presenting oneself in a professional manner in company clothing, fulfilling the day-to-day liaison with customers.
Health & Safety
Ensure that all necessary Health & Safety requirements are fulfilled, in respect of customers, colleagues and yourself. Particularly in respect to COSHH, movement of goods and chemical handling, storage and spraying (using NPTC guidelines).
Sundry Tasks
Generating interest and leads with customers, including leaflet distribution.
Ensuring all equipment and vehicle are regularly cleaned and maintained in good working order.
To be flexible in working arrangements, assisting in other aspects of the company as necessary.
Flexible Working Arrangement
Initially 2-3 days per week (approx 8 hours per day) in peak months of March, April May, October and November.
Experience
No Experience is necessary - full training is given. The job is physically demanding so candidates must be physically fit and have a strong work ethic.
