Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and ensuring a safe environment for all visitors and employees. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to observe activity and respond appropriately to any suspicious behaviour.
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing first aid if necessary.
- Assist in loss prevention by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting incidents to management.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security or related fields is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies.
- First aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly to incidents.
- Valid security licence or certification as required by local legislation is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers a vital role in maintaining a secure environment while providing opportunities for professional development within the security industry.
Pay: £12.89 per hour
