Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Cleaner for the 2.30pm - 11pm shift to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our commercial and industrial facilities during the afternoon and evening hours. Your proactive approach and dedication will contribute to a clean, welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct floor care procedures including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as cleaning machinery areas and high-traffic zones to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and light fixtures to uphold a professional environment
- Assist with custodial duties related to trash removal, restocking supplies, and minor repairs as needed
- Support facilities maintenance activities including basic repairs and reporting larger issues to management
- Use proper safety procedures during all cleaning tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and general sanitation practices
- Experience with residential painting or maintenance work is a plus but not required
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, and other custodial tools effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently during evening hours while adhering to safety protocols
- Good communication skills for reporting issues or completing shift documentation
