We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our Braintree team. The successful candidate will support daily financial operations, assist with bookkeeping, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. Duties
- Assist with processing invoices, receipts, and expense claims accurately and efficiently
- Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Maintain organised financial records and filing systems
- Reconcile accounts and bank statements on a regular basis
- Support payroll processing by verifying timesheets and related documentation
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as required
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance procedures and processes
Skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good numerical ability and proficiency in basic accounting principles
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is advantageous but not essential
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Prior experience in a finance or administrative role is desirable but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
