Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Tramper Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation or end of life, new and used vehicles to various locations throughout the Country. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate a car transporter trailer. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring safe deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Please note that this is a tramping role which will require 4 nights out per week.
Responsibilities
- Operate our vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and tachograph regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring that they are secured properly for transport.
- Deliver goods to designated locations within specified timeframes.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with management and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as industry regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in HGV class 1 Driving
- Strong knowledge of delivery driving practices and safety regulations.
- Experience with vehicle transportation is highly desirable however full training can be given
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
