Duties as a Workshop Controller will include:
- Manage daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity
- Allocate work to Vehicle Technicians and supervise their performance
- Motivate and lead the workshop team, fostering a high standard of customer service and safety
- Coordinate with Service Advisors to ensure all booked work is achievable and meets customer expectations
- Monitor quality and adherence to industry standards
- Promote a safety-first environment within the workshop
- Maintain effective communication between the workshop and service department to optimise productivity
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Manage workshop administration and reporting requirements
Requirements:
- Proven track record of at least three years in a similar Workshop Controller role within a franchise-approved dealership
- Experience of managing workshop teams and workflows effectively
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- IT literacy and proficiency with dealership management systems
- Results-driven with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Residing within or near the Bristol area for ease of commuting
This Workshop Controller role offers a structured workweek from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:00am to 12:00pm.
