Qualifications Required:
Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to complete it
Experience Required:
Minimum of 2 years' experience within the last 5 years in a role relevant to children's residential care
At least 1 year's experience supervising and managing staff within a care setting
Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and child protection procedures
Our client is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an established children's residential home in the rural setting of East Huntspill, Highbridge.
You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring children receive high-quality, individualised care while maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, compliance and regulatory practice. You will also develop and inspire a committed staff team, creating a reflective, supportive and child-focused culture.
The home benefits from ongoing support from an experienced Responsible Individual and Head of Care, providing regular guidance, leadership and operational support.

A full manual UK driving licence

Ability to undertake on-call duties (currently averaging around two per month)

£2,000 annual car allowance
Occupancy bonus of £175 per child after the first child (up to £350 per month in a fully occupied 3-bed home)
Ofsted bonus of £500 for a Good inspection
Ofsted bonus of £1,000 for an Outstanding inspection
On-call payments of £10 per weekday and £50 per day at weekends
22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Non-contributory pension with a 9% employer contribution
