Help tenants take the first step towards better housing conditions
We’re looking for confident, motivated and compassionate people to join our growing team as Housing Conditions Advisors.
You’ll be one of the first people residents speak to, helping tenants who may be experiencing issues such as damp, mould, leaks, infestations, defective windows, heating problems and other housing conditions concerns.
This is a fast-paced, telephone-based role combining customer service, sales and client support. You’ll speak with new and existing enquiries, understand their circumstances, assess whether they may be eligible for our service, and guide them through the next steps.
If you’re confident speaking to people, motivated by targets and want a role where your conversations can make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Speaking with tenants who have contacted us for help and making outbound calls to prospective clients
● Handling inbound enquiries professionally and with empathy
● Asking the right questions to understand a tenant’s housing conditions and circumstances
● Assessing enquiries against our service eligibility criteria
● Clearly explaining our service and the next steps available
● Building trust and confidence with clients from their very first conversation
● Booking appointments and progressing suitable enquiries
● Following up with clients who require additional information or haven’t yet completed the process
● Maintaining accurate and detailed records within our CRM
● Managing your own pipeline of enquiries and follow-ups
● Working towards individual and team performance targets
● Supporting colleagues to maintain excellent service levels
What We’re Looking For
You don’t necessarily need previous experience in housing or the legal sector. We’re particularly interested in people who are confident communicators, motivated to succeed and genuinely good with people.
Ideally, you’ll have:
● Previous experience in sales, customer service, contact centres, outreach or a similar telephone-based role
● A confident, friendly and professional telephone manner
● Strong communication and listening skills
● The ability to build rapport quickly
● Confidence handling objections and challenging conversations
● Good attention to detail
● Experience using CRM systems or similar software
● A positive and resilient attitude
● The ability to work towards targets in a fast-paced environment
● A reliable, self-motivated and team-focused approach
Even Better If You Have
● Experience within housing, legal services, claims, advice or tenant support
● Previous experience managing a sales or enquiry pipeline
● Additional language skills
● An interest in housing rights and improving access to support
What You’ll Get
We want work to be somewhere people enjoy coming to, while recognising and rewarding great performance.
Our benefits include:
● £25,500 – £30,000 basic salary
● Commission and performance incentives
● Birthday off
● Early-finish Fridays
● 21 days’ annual leave + bank holidays
● Christmas closure
● Free on-site parking
● Regular company parties and social events
● Team incentives and activities
● Training and ongoing development
● Opportunities to progress as the organisation grows
A Role With Purpose
Behind every enquiry is a tenant who may have spent months trying to get problems in their home resolved.
As a Housing Conditions Advisor, you’ll help them understand the support available, gather the information we need and make sure suitable clients reach the right team.
If you’re ambitious, confident on the phone and want to combine earning potential with work that helps people, we want to hear from you.
