Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood curricula.
- Supervise and support children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Monitor and assess individual children's progress, maintaining detailed records of developmental milestones.
- Organise daily routines to ensure a balanced mix of structured activities and free play.
- Manage classroom resources efficiently, ensuring a clean and organised environment conducive to learning.
- Lead by example in promoting good behaviour, manners, and social skills among children.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentorship and leadership when required.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies, to ensure a secure environment for all children.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in nursery or early years settings.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare management.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Relevant childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent recognised certification.
- Experience in organising educational activities tailored to various age groups.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or resources when necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when required.
