About the Role
This is a hands-on, rewarding role where every day is different.
You will support children with complex medical needs, learning disabilities, and behaviours that may challenge, helping them access the community, build independence, develop confidence, and enjoy meaningful experiences.
Activities may include:
- Swimming
- Trips to the park or theme parks
- Going to the cinema
- Dining out
- Walks and community outings
You must be confident participating in these activities and actively promoting independence in a safe and supportive way.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support
- Support children with complex clinical needs
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Monitor wellbeing and report concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively with families and professionals
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Support positive behaviour strategies
What We’re Looking For
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 1 year care experience
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Experience in complex care, including most of the following:
- Medication administration
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle with business insurance
- Ability and willingness to transport children
You will also be compassionate, patient, calm under pressure, professional, reliable, and a strong communicator. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
