Shred Station is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing team based at our Norwich depot.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and expanding company, carrying out confidential waste collections across the UK in one of our specialist shredding vehicles.
This is a dedicated Monday to Friday nights-away role. Depending on operational requirements, you may work alongside a Driver's Mate or complete certain routes on your own. Whether working as part of a two-person crew or independently, you'll play an important role in delivering our secure confidential waste collection service.
Unlike many driving roles, every member of the crew has their own individual hotel room. Whether you're travelling with a Driver's Mate or working solo, your hotel accommodation will be arranged and paid for by Shred Station. In addition, you'll receive a £20 night away allowance for every overnight stay.

The Role
As part of our transport team, you will:
- Carry out confidential waste collections from customer sites across the UK.
- Operate one of our specialist confidential shredding vehicles.
- Work either independently or alongside a Driver's Mate, depending on the route and operational requirements.
- Collect, transport and securely destroy confidential material in accordance with company procedures.
- Work away from home Monday to Friday, typically spending up to four nights away each week.
- Stay in your own individual hotel room, booked and paid for by Shred Station.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers across a wide range of industries.
Main Duties
- Carry out confidential waste collections safely, efficiently and professionally.
- Operate the on-board shredding equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure confidential material is collected, transported and securely destroyed in accordance with GDPR and company procedures.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
- Complete electronic collection notes and associated paperwork accurately.
- Comply with all DVSA regulations, Drivers' Hours legislation, the Working Time Directive and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and roadworthy vehicle.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Shred Station to the highest standards.
What You'll Need
- Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence.
- Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience (preferred).
- A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
- Happy to work away from home Monday to Friday on a regular basis.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, flexible and professional in your approach to work.
Security Screening
Due to the nature of our business, successful applicants will be required to complete security screening to BS7858 standards, including:
- Five-year employment and residence history check.
- DBS check.
- Financial history check.
Additional security vetting, including checks by UK Police Forces and up to UK Government Security Clearance (SC) level, may also be required depending on customer requirements.

Experience
- Class 2 (Category C) driving: 1 year (preferred)
- Multi-drop or collection driving experience (preferred)
