The Wensleydale Hotel & The Tack Room Restaurant is an award-winning independent boutique hotel and restaurant located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
Following new ownership, we are investing in the future of the business and are looking for a passionate and ambitious chef to join our growing kitchen team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, takes pride in delivering consistently high standards and wants to be part of a business with genuine ambition.
The Role
Working alongside our Head Chef, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking dishes using fresh, quality ingredients.
- Maintaining consistently high food standards and presentation.
- Supporting the Head Chef with menu development and seasonal specials.
- Ensuring excellent food hygiene and HACCP compliance.
- Managing your section efficiently during service.
- Supporting stock control and reducing waste.
- Helping train and develop junior members of the team.
- Working collaboratively with our Front of House team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef.
- Is passionate about producing quality food.
- Works well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Takes pride in cleanliness and organisation.
- Is reliable, positive and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
- Wants to grow with an independent business.
