Milano Couture | Trainee Assistant Manager | Westfield White City
At Milano Couture, we specialise in formalwear and casualwear, helping customers find the right look for every occasion.
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Trainee Assistant Manager to join our Westfield White City store.
This is a development role for someone with strong UK clothing retail experience and previous leadership responsibility. The role will begin on a part time basis during the training period.
The successful candidate will be trained and developed with the opportunity to progress into a full time Assistant Manager role if successful. From there, the aim is to support further progression towards a Store Manager position within approximately 6 to 8 months, depending on performance, progress and business needs.
This role is suited to someone who has previously worked as a Supervisor, Team Leader, Floor Supervisor, Department Supervisor or Acting Assistant Manager.
Working at Milano Couture is customer focused and service led. We approach customers with confidence, offer styling advice and aim to create a memorable shopping experience from the moment they enter the store.
You will work closely with the Store Manager, learning the daily operations of a successful retail store while helping to lead the team, drive sales and maintain high standards.
Full flexibility is required across weekdays, weekends and peak trading periods.
What will you do?
As a Trainee Assistant Manager, you will:
· Support the day to day running of the store alongside the Store Manager
· Lead by example and deliver exceptional customer service
· Help coach, motivate and develop the store team
· Delegate tasks clearly and follow up on completion
· Work towards daily sales targets and store KPIs
· Assist with opening and closing the store
· Support visual merchandising and maintain high store standards
· Help manage stock deliveries, replenishment and organisation
· Handle customer queries professionally
· Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence when required
What qualities will you have?
· Minimum 2 years UK clothing retail experience required
· Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader, Floor Supervisor, Department Supervisor or Acting Assistant Manager required
· Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills
· Confident, engaging and approachable with customers
· Strong leadership ability and confidence leading by example
· Good delegation, problem solving and decision making skills
· Positive attitude and genuine desire to progress into management
· Passion for fashion and delivering exceptional customer service
· Ability to perform well in a fast paced retail environment
· Flexible approach to working hours
· Multilingual skills are beneficial but not essential
