Job Title: Industrial Cleaning Operative
Location: BT48 0BF
Hours: 20 hours per week Monday - Friday 8am - 12pm
Type: Full-Time, Temporary (6 month contract)
Pay: £14.50ph
Role Overview
This role requires a high level of reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to carry out physically demanding work. You will be responsible for industrial and construction-related cleaning across multiple sites in Belfast, delivering consistently high standards in fast-paced environments. The work involves tasks such as lifting, bending, carrying equipment and working on your feet for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
Deep Cleaning
- Complete thorough cleaning of amenities, commercial and public areas, including floors, machinery, washrooms and high-level surfaces.
- Use specialist equipment and chemicals safely and effectively, ensuring all areas meet the required standard.
Builders’ Cleans / Post-Construction Cleaning
- Remove dust, debris, paint and construction materials from newly built or refurbished sites.
- Ensure spaces are clean, safe and ready for use, working to strict quality standards and deadlines.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Follow all COSHH, PPE and site-specific safety requirements at all times.
- Maintain a safe, hazard-free environment and report any risks or issues immediately.
Equipment Use & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as scrubber dryers, vacuums and pressure washers.
- Ensure machinery is used correctly, kept in good condition, and any faults are reported promptly.
Essential Criteria
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Good organisational skills
- Applicants should be reliable and capable of carrying out the physical duties required for the role
- Strong attention to detail
- Full clean driving licence preferred
- CSR Card Essential
- Industrial Cleaning or Labouring Experience
