Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager
Location: Life Bank Nursery, Status: Full time 40 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and suitably qualified professional to join our committed management team. We are looking for an outstanding individual to provide high-quality childcare and support within our dynamic Life Bank Nursery setting.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Possess a minimum full and relevant NVQ Level 3 in Early Years (or equivalent).
- Have at least 3 years of experience in Early Years settings.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and a genuine passion for delivering the highest standard of care.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work proactively within a busy nursery environment.
- Support the Nursery Manager in the delivery of a high-quality service to children from birth to five and their families.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership for the staff team, acting as a professional role model at all times.
- Management Support: Assist the Manager in all aspects of nursery operations, including implementing legal EYFS requirements and managing the nursery efficiently in the Manager’s absence.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a vital bridge between the staff and management teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
- Specialised Experience: Previous experience in staff supervision, multiple setting environments, fee income management, and working with children with SEND is highly desirable.

- Integrity & Excellence: Maintain meticulous safeguarding and reporting records with absolute accuracy and professional integrity.
- Professional Boundaries: Champion a culture of excellence by maintaining clear professional boundaries with the team both during and outside of work hours.
- Compliance: Operate strictly within the Nursery’s procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.
This position is subject to vetting including enhanced DBS checks and suitable references.
