Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to oversee operations within a care home compliant with CQC standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive knowledge of senior care, and experience in managing care teams. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring residents' wellbeing and safety are prioritised at all times. The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager in maintaining compliance, supervising staff, and implementing personalised care plans for residents with diverse needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Duties
- Assist the Registered Manager & Case Manager in the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring smooth operational functioning.
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on delivering exceptional resident care.
- Oversee the implementation and review of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
- Monitor compliance with CQC regulations and standards, preparing for inspections and audits as required.
- Support residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence whilst ensuring safety and dignity.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, incident reports, and staff records.
- Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive resident support.
Skills
- Proven experience in supported living/ Residential settings.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous supervisory or management experience within a care setting.
- Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and requirements for adult social care settings.
- Competence in developing and managing personalised care plans for service users.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to oversee medication administration safely and accurately.
- Compassionate approach combined with strong communication skills to support residents’ emotional wellbeing and foster positive relationships with families.
- Ability to lead a team effectively whilst maintaining high standards of quality assurance across all aspects of care delivery.
- Experience in managing compliance documentation, conducting audits, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a care home environment.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
