Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Chef de Partie / Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at Muse Restaurant & Bar, where our focus is on Pan Asian & World Inspired Small Plates in a social dining setting - please note that we are currently hiring for two chefs to join our team as we continue to grow and develop a third site
The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast paced kitchen and will oversee all aspects of food production. A passion for culinary development, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to create a positive working environment are key to the role.
Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily kitchen operations
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to maximise profitability
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills
- Strong background in food production and preparation techniques
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Extensive culinary experience with a deep understanding of various cooking styles
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make decisions under pressure
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £14.50 per hour
