Full Job Description
We are seeking for Multi-Skilled maintenance Person to work at our Care Home
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- To liaise with the manager on the day to day maintenance of the nursing home as required;
- To carry out regular checks, including water temperature, Pat test, lighting, fire alarm, fire drills, nurse call system, hospital beds, pressure relieving mattress, wheelchairs and hoists.
- To ensure that all equipment is in good repair, checking and carrying out necessary repairs when needed;
- To undertake painting and decorating tasks within the Home as required;
- To undertake any handyman repairs, e.g. carpentry & joinery, plumbing, electrical, as required;
- To maintain gardens and ground works;
- To undertake any cleaning tasks as required, including kitchen/laundry/outside store; moving furniture,
- To check and receive deliveries/goods and stock them in the storage cupboard;
- To supervise any sub-contract/ labourer on site;
- Record keeping;
Essential Skills :
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Willingness and enthusiasm with a "can-do" attitude
- Full UK driving licence or EU equivalent preferred
- Previous experience of working in a care/Nursing environment would be beneficial
We are currently looking for an individual to work for 5 hours per day, 4 days a week, with occasional on-call availability for emergencies. Please note that any candidate who is selected will be required to undergo a DBS check before commencing employment, and two satisfactory references will also be necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
