PROPERTY INSPECTOR – JOIN OUR TEAM
DB Inventories & Compliance+
Area covered: Ashford, Dover, Canterbury and Maidstone
Are you observant, dependable and confident working independently?
DB Inventories & Compliance+ is an established property inventory and compliance company supporting leading letting agents and landlords across the South East.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a professional Property Inspector to join our team, covering Ashford, Dover, Canterbury, Maidstone and the surrounding areas.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a varied and responsible field-based role. You will attend residential properties to complete:
- Inventories and check-ins
- Check-outs
- Mid-term property inspections
- Smoke and carbon monoxide alarm checks
Using our specialist reporting software, you will produce accurate, structured and detailed reports supported by clear photographic evidence.
These reports can play an important role in deposit disputes, property management decisions and landlord compliance, so accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
You will manage your allocated appointments independently, communicate professionally with tenants and letting agents, and represent DB Inventories & Compliance+ at every property you attend.
This role involves much more than simply taking photographs. It requires careful observation, accurate written reporting, sound judgement and excellent time management.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will need:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and spoken English
- A professional and approachable manner
- Confidence communicating with tenants, landlords and letting agents
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Calmness and professionalism in occasionally challenging situations
- Good general smartphone and app-based technology skills
- Flexibility when appointments or schedules change at short notice
- A dependable attitude and commitment to completing work properly
Previous property, lettings, inspection or inventory experience would be helpful but is not essential, as full training will be provided to the right person.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable access to your own vehicle
- Appropriate business-use vehicle insurance
- Smartphone with a suitable camera and mobile data
- Availability during weekday daytime hours
- Willingness to travel throughout the advertised area
WHAT WE OFFER
- Full initial training
- Ongoing support and guidance
- Clear reporting standards and established working procedures
- Varied, independent field-based work
- Consistent work for the right candidate
- The opportunity to develop within a respected, compliance-focused business
The role can be physically and mentally demanding. It may involve several appointments in different locations during the same day, periods of driving, working on your feet and completing detailed reports accurately within required timescales.
We are looking for someone reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high standards—not someone who cuts corners.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send us:
- Your current CV
- A short covering note explaining why you would be suitable for the role
- The area in which you live
- Your weekday availability
- Details of any relevant property, inspection, inventory or customer-facing experience
We would love to hear from you if you take pride in your work and believe this role would suit you.
