The Green Clean Ltd is looking for a proactive and hands-on Site Supervisor to lead our cleaning operation at Whatley Quarry.
This is much more than a cleaning role. We're looking for someone who can lead by example, maintain exceptionally high standards and ensure our client receives a consistently excellent service.
You'll be responsible for cleaning key management and office areas whilst supervising a small team of two cleaners and acting as the main point of contact on site.
About the role
Working within an active quarry environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining offices, welfare facilities and communal areas to a high standard while ensuring all cleaning schedules, periodic tasks and client expectations are met.
This role requires someone who is organised, takes pride in their work and is confident leading others.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean management offices, welfare facilities and communal areas to a high standard.
- Supervise and support two cleaning operatives.
- Carry out regular quality inspections across the site.
- Ensure daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks are completed.
- Maintain excellent cleaning standards throughout the contract.
- Monitor stock levels and order cleaning consumables when required.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
- Complete site paperwork and cleaning records.
- Liaise professionally with the client and respond to requests.
- Report maintenance issues, damage or health & safety concerns promptly.
- Train and support new members of the team.
- Ensure company policies, COSHH procedures and colour coding are always followed.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous commercial cleaning experience.
- Has supervisory or team leader experience (preferred).
- Leads by example with a positive and professional attitude.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Can motivate and support a small team.
- Is confident communicating with clients and management.
- Is organised and able to prioritise workloads.
- Is reliable, trustworthy and takes ownership of the site.
Working Environment
This position is based within an operational quarry, not a standard office building.
Applicants should be comfortable working in an industrial environment where there may be dust, heavy vehicle movements and varying weather conditions when moving between buildings.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, including safety boots, hi-vis clothing, hard hat and any other site-specific PPE provided.
