Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Mentor to inspire, guide, and support young individuals in their personal and academic growth. As a Youth Mentor, you will serve as a positive role model, fostering a safe and encouraging environment where youth can develop essential life skills. Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with youth through active listening, encouragement, and mentorship.
- Develop engaging activities that promote social-emotional learning, teamwork, and personal development.
- Provide guidance on educational goals, career aspirations, and life skills to help youth make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to support each youth’s individual needs.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to motivate continued growth and achievement.
- Facilitate group discussions and workshops focused on self-esteem, conflict resolution, and leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and any incidents or concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching, mentoring, or working with children or adolescents.
- Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices in youth work.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
- Experience working with children with special education needs is highly desirable.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive environment that promotes respect and positive behavior.
- Passion for empowering youth and making a meaningful difference in their lives.
