Salary: £17.00 to £19.00 per hour

We’re working with a well-established manufacturer who are looking for a skilled, time-served machinist to join their 4-strong machine shop team. This role involves programming, setting and operating CNC and sometimes manual mills, producing precision components. A great opportunity for someone who takes pride in high-quality work.

Job Duties:
· Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Milling Machines (FANUC controls)
· Production of components to customer requirements
· Ensure all work is carried out to required specifications and standards
· Fine finishing and deburring
· Working to tight tolerances
· Carry out general machine shop duties including maintenance of machines
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
· Assist and support the development of other members of staff
What we are looking for:
· Proven background in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines (Preferably FANUC trained)
· Hands-on experience with manual milling operations
· Strong ability to produce precision components to customer specifications
· Confident working to tight tolerances and delivering to high standards
· Skilled in fine finishing, deburring, and quality checking of machined parts
· Good knowledge of general machine shop duties, including machine maintenance
· Experience contributing to continuous improvement projects and shop efficiency
· Supportive team player with experience assisting colleagues
