We are a busy, community‑focused launderette now operating under new ownership, and we’re looking for a reliable, friendly team member to join us. This role involves customer service, laundry processing, and helping to keep the shop running smoothly day to day.
What You’ll Do
Wash, dry and iron customer laundry to a high standard
Operate washing machines, dryers and other equipment safely and efficiently
Serve customers, operate the till and handle cash/card transactions
Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming shop environment
Carry out dry‑cleaning tasks once trained and authorised
Support stock management and general shop duties
Provide professional, polite customer service at all times
Contribute to the smooth running of the business as part of a small team
What We’re Looking For
Good spoken and written English to ensure safe equipment use and clear customer communication
Basic numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE Maths & English Grade C or equivalent preferred)
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, friendly team
Strong attention to detail to ensure high‑quality laundry results
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Previous laundry or retail experience is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided
Flexibility to support additional hours when required (e.g., holiday cover)

This position offers family‑friendly daytime hours of 10am–2pm, Monday to Friday
