We're looking for a motivated Qualified Dental Nurse who enjoys working in a busy practice, takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care and thrives as part of a collaborative team.
The Role
As a Qualified Dental Nurse, you will play an essential role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care throughout their visit.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing chairside assistance for a variety of dental procedures.
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials before each appointment.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe clinical environment.
- Following all cross-infection control and decontamination procedures to the highest standard.
- Sterilising instruments and managing the central decontamination area.
- Keeping accurate patient records and updating clinical information where required.
- Supporting patients throughout their appointments, helping them feel comfortable and at ease.
- Monitoring and replenishing clinical stock and materials.
- Working closely with dentists, hygienists, therapists and the wider team to ensure clinics run smoothly.
- Assisting with administrative duties when needed.
- Maintaining compliance with GDC standards, practice policies and all relevant regulations.
- Keeping your GDC registration and CPD requirements up to date.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised Dental Nursing qualification.
- Is registered with the General Dental Council.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is caring, professional and passionate about patient care.
- Can confidently support nervous or anxious patients.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Is confident using computers and dental software.
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys learning new skills.
- Is committed to continuing professional development.
