OverviewWe are seeking an industry experienced Installation & Technical Manager (HETAS & GasSafe) with a professional, friendly, enthusiastic team player and strong leadership skills, technical expertise, organisational and strong administrative skills with a keen positive attitude to lead our installation and maintenance teams in delivering installations and services across the South East. The successful candidates' remuneration will be depending on experience and qualifications to start immediately.
The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of HETAS regulations and standards, ensuring all installations meet safety and compliance requirements from survey through to commissioning. We also hold Gas Safe registration and complete Gas, Electric and Bio-Ethanol installations alongside our main core HETAS works.
You will be working Monday to Friday (to suit candidate and business needs) flexibly between the office opening hours of 7:30am to 6pm starting at 7:30am. The businesses are open on Saturday’s although this is not a regular requirement of the role, during busy periods or holiday cover Saturdays works may be requested.
The role is varied and would include but not limited to the following tasks and expectations:-
Duties
- Lead and supervise maintenance and installation and maintenance teams to ensure time efficient and compliance in all their works on the road.
- Oversee and run the Installation team within the offices who assist you in your role and work as required administratively.
- Be experienced in reviewing site survey notes and images to enable full estimates and pricing accurately for required works. Following the works process through to invoicing upon completion of works.
- Assist with coordinating the smooth day-to-day operations of installations, large contracts, upcoming projects alongside existing management and staff.
- Organising schedules by preparing parts and equipment for upcoming works with the warehouse team and reviewing stock control with the Croydon Fireplaces team.
- Dealing with technical and general queries for day-to-day jobs and estimates, with Customers and Operatives on the road as well as Customers in the showroom.
- Potential site visits to carry out surveys and also on site monitoring and inspections of employees standards and health and safety.
- Ensure all works adhere strictly to current health and safety regulations, building regulations, and industry and manufacturer requirements.
- Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and changes in legislation affecting our industry.
- As management, working as required in a family run business to suit the needs and requirements of smooth, profitable running.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in installing Solid fuel and/or Gas fires and appliances with a strong understanding of Building regulations. (Ideally current or previous H003 & H006 or equivalent) - further training and qualifications offered as applicable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff towards achieving high standards of work and communication.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan projects and work efficiently while managing multiple priorities and tasks.
- Good communication and leadership skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Valid driving licence is essential for site visits and project management across various locations (where required).
- A proactive approach with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
- Being strong administratively to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and deal with day to day problems that arise through works.

EuroCowl Ltd is a leading manufacturer and supplier of chimney Terminals, Cowls and Products that are fabricated on site and distributed throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.
As part of our continued growth and investment as a group of Companies we are just rolling out a new Stock and Inventory system internally with bar code scanning and rolling out iPads for the engineers on the road.
