A Fantastic Opportunity: Design Technician
The Quotations Technician plays a key role in shaping the customer journey throughout the quotations lifecycle, ensuring a seamless transition from initial enquiry through to project acceptance and handover to the delivery team. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external customers, the role is responsible for managing expectations, maintaining clear communication, and ensuring all project information is accurate, complete, and delivered to a high standard.
What you'll be doing:

Act as point of contact to multiple Customers in mainly the Pre-Construction phase of their accepted project

Compile all design and CDM information for the project handover
- Liaise with all stakeholders involved in the connection process including; Customer, internal design teams, land rights and consents, internal delivery teams
- Obtain and distribute any requested project specific information

Arrange and coordinate initial site activities such as earthing surveys

Ensure all stakeholders have the most upto date version of all project documentation and drawings
Success Measures:

Construction coodinators have comprehensive handover, supported by upto date project documentation

Accurate and transparent communication with customer to set expectations and drive great service scores and lower complaints

Early identification of project timelines and identification of risks to both safety and project delivery timescales

Early handovers to delivery team reducing handover time taken and increase speed of customer journey.
What you'll need:

Knowledge and understanding of LV & HV distribution connection projects

Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Be self motivated and work independently under pressure to meet business targets using initiative

Knowledge and experience of CDM and risk assessments for utility projects
-
Customer facing project management
-
Previous experience of connections quotations or delivery of electrical distribution projects
