Our Oxford depot is looking for a Vehicle Technician to work alternating early/late shifts.

You'll use the most advanced workshop systems on trucks with state-of-the-art technology. Hours:
Week 1: 07.30 – 16.00 - Monday to Thursday / Friday 15.00
Week 2: 13.30 – 22.00 – Monday to Thursday / Friday 21.00
Duties:
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles
- Carrying out road tests
- Performing emergency road repairs
- Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards
- Diagnoses of vehicles utilising computer based diagnostic equipment
- Carry out scheduled fleet maintenance tasks
- Preparation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
- Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

- Excellent customer care skills
- High level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repair
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
- Previous experience would be required
- Industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering (all modules completed) – Heavy Vehicle Qualification
- Previous working experience as a HGV technician with a strong technical background, as well as a keen interest in van
