TECS Group
Due to continued growth across our Operations division, TECS Group is looking for an experienced and motivated Regional Manager to join our team.
This is a key operational role responsible for supporting the successful delivery of our services across the region, including Water Hygiene, Water Treatment & Plumbing
The Regional Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day performance and development of technicians within their region, working closely with the Operations and Scheduling teams to improve efficiency, develop our people and ensure we continue to deliver a high-quality service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Mobilisation
Support and lead the mobilisation of new contracts and projects within the region, ensuring the correct resources, skillsets, equipment, training and operational processes are in place before works commence.
Work closely with Operations, Scheduling, Sales and other departments to ensure a smooth transition from contract award through to operational delivery.
Team Development & Upskilling
Take an active role in the development of technicians across the region, identifying skills gaps and opportunities to improve individual and team capability.
Support technicians in progressing through the TECS Group technician development pathway and help create clear opportunities for progression across our key service areas.
Competency Assessments
Complete regular field-based competency assessments across the team to ensure technicians are working safely, effectively and to the required TECS Group and industry standards.
Maintain oversight of technician competency levels and work with the Operations team to create individual development and training plans where required.
Scheduling Support
Work closely with the Scheduling team to support the effective planning and allocation of work across the region.
Ensure the right technicians and skillsets are assigned to the right tasks while helping to reduce unnecessary travel, improve productive working hours and maximise operational efficiency.
Identifying Operational Efficiencies
Continually review how work is planned and delivered across the region, identifying opportunities to:
- Reduce unnecessary travel
- Improve technician productivity
- Increase productive working hours
- Improve regional scheduling
- Reduce reliance on subcontractors
- Improve contract performance
- Make better use of technician skillsets
- Improve communication between Operations, Scheduling and field teams
Technical Support
Act as a key point of technical support for technicians within the region, helping to resolve site-based challenges and ensuring works are completed safely and to the correct technical standards.
The role will support a wide range of services, including:
- Water Hygiene
- Water Treatment
- TMV Servicing
- Closed System Works
- Plumbing & Remedial Works
- Water Treatment Equipment Servicing and Installation
- Risk Assessments
- Air Hygiene
Training & Development
Identify individual and regional training requirements and organise internal and external training to support business needs.
Work with the wider Operations team to ensure training is targeted, practical and aligned with the services TECS Group currently delivers and plans to develop in the future.
Holiday & Resource Management
Review and approve annual leave requests for technicians within the region, ensuring adequate operational coverage is maintained and client commitments can continue to be delivered.
Work closely with Scheduling to plan ahead and manage regional resources effectively.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent people management and operational skills.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience managing or supervising field-based technical teams
- Have strong knowledge of the water hygiene and water treatment industry
- Be confident providing technical support across a range of services
- Have experience completing competency assessments
- Be passionate about training, development and upskilling people
- Have strong planning and organisational skills
- Be able to identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements
- Be comfortable working closely with Scheduling and other departments
- Be confident making decisions and taking ownership of their region
- Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Be willing to spend time in the field supporting and developing technicians

Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
