KITCHEN PORTER
The Two Sawyers in Pett, is a family run Pub, located on the outskirts of Hastings serving excellent food.
The Two Sawyers has been awarded Open table Diners' choice award for 2025 for one of the best places to eat in East Sussex.
We are actively seeking a Kitchen Porter to work as part of the kitchen team and assist in maintaining outstanding levels of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen areas to include all working areas and food & beverage crockery, utensils and serving equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Washing all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and equipment, food service equipment.
- Ensuring that the following are kept clean and tidy and to a very high standard:
Floors & Walls.
Bins – inside and out.
Crushing and disposal of cardboard and boxes.
Fridges & Freezers (with assistance of chefs).
Delivery areas
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of working areas
- To be aware of and to adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene and COSHH regulations governing the work you are undertaking and to ensure the correct chemicals/detergents are used at all times.
- To carry out any other reasonable request of the Head Chef.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good communication skills and to be able to work well under pressure.
A professional attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering fantastic experiences to our customers.
30 Hours + per week, with increased hours in busy periods. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Have a driving license or live close by.
Rate of pay 21 and over- £12.71. 18-20 £10.85. under 18 £8. Plus weekly tips.
