Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cocktail Bartender/Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing exceptional service to guests, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails and beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Provide attentive table service, including serving food and drinks, and attending to guest needs
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system
- Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, creating a welcoming environment
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, particularly as a bartender or waiter in a busy restaurant or bar environment, is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Good basic maths skills for handling payments and bills
- Proven ability to work well within a team and maintain professionalism under pressure
