Female Live In Carer, Crouch End N8 | £950 per week + £40 food allowance
We are looking for an experienced female live in carer who drives to support a sociable woman in her 60s living in Crouch End, N8.

Live in position
The client is a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy and uses a standing electric hoist for all transfers. She is experienced in receiving care and is very clear about how she likes her support to be provided.
About the client
She is very sociable, independent and enjoys getting out and about. She enjoys cinema, theatre, art galleries, museums, walks and travelling, and regularly goes out 2 to 3 times a week.
She also enjoys social media and is writing a book, which she dictates to her carer.
Support required
The carer will support with:
- Personal care and morning routine
- Showering and transfers using an electric hoist
- Dressing, hair and makeup
- Medication support
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating
- Following her exercise routine
- Light household duties and laundry
- Companionship and social activities
- Driving her specially adapted disabled car
- Supporting her with social media and technology
Driving is essential as the carer will drive the client's specially adapted vehicle for outings and appointments.
The most important qualities are patience, good communication and the ability to listen and support the client's independence rather than take over.
This is intended to be a long term live in placement with a familiar primary and secondary carer arrangement rather than constantly changing carers.
