Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our small housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest comfort throughout our property. In this vital role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations of 7 rooms and communal areas, ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation. Your leadership will directly contribute to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of our establishment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, standards, and procedures aligned with hospitality industry best practices
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards across the property
- Hire & train new team members on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective usage and timely replenishment
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special requests or event setups requiring housekeeping support
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience
- Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and motivate team members to achieve excellence
- To be compliant with COSHH and Health & Safety practices within the workplace.
- Notify management of any maintenance
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments with janitorial expertise
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
- Excellent organisational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic setting
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety regulations within the hospitality industry
- Exceptional attention to detail to uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Effective communication skills for clear instructions and guest interactions
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude
