Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bar Stock/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics and supply chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock levels, handling materials, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure efficient and smooth workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems, data analysis, and process optimisation within a fast-paced environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with prior warehouse experience or those eager to build a career in logistics.

Duties
- Receive, inspect, and store bar stock and materials in designated warehouse areas
- utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and data visualisation
- Conduct stock counts and reconcile discrepancies using data analysis skills
- Operate forklift trucks safely to move heavy loads and materials around the warehouse
- organise stock according to category management principles and merchandising standards
- Support shipping & receiving processes, including preparing orders for dispatch and processing incoming deliveries
- Implement process improvements to optimise stock handling, logistics, and supply chain operations
- Collaborate with procurement teams on materials handling and categorisation strategies
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment adhering to health & safety regulations
Requirements
- Must have Combi/4-way Licence
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments; warehouse experience preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage stock levels accurately
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Ability to operate forklift trucks safely; relevant certification is an advantage
- Proficiency in category management, process improvement, and root cause analysis techniques
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling, and retail management principles
- Good negotiation skills for supplier interactions or internal process negotiations
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team
- To Assist with the Smooth Running of Bar Stock Inbound and Outbound Department and maintain high level of integrity within the Bar Stock stores, also assist with other warehouse duties when required.
