Trainee Massage and Grooming Therapist
Pay: £20 per hour, plus statutory holiday pay

About SWL Male Grooming
SWL Male Grooming is an award-winning specialist grooming business offering therapeutic massage, body grooming and professional waxing treatments for male clients.
We operate from our established Worthing studio and Brighton Therapy Rooms. Our team provides treatments in a professional, welcoming environment with a strong focus on client comfort, hygiene and excellent service.
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic trainee therapist to join our growing team. This opportunity may suit someone beginning a career in massage, beauty or grooming, as full paid training will be provided.
About the role
The position will be based primarily at Brighton Therapy Rooms, approximately five minutes from Brighton Station. Occasional shifts may also be available at our Worthing studio.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing therapeutic massage treatments following successful training
- Providing body and specialist waxing treatments for male clients following successful training
- Completing client consultations and maintaining accurate treatment records
- Preparing and cleaning treatment rooms
- Following all hygiene, safety and treatment procedures
- Providing professional and attentive client care
- Protecting client privacy and confidentiality
- Representing SWL Male Grooming professionally
Training provided
Previous massage, beauty therapy or waxing training would be helpful, but it is not essential.
The successful applicant will receive paid training covering:
- Therapeutic massage techniques
- Male body and intimate waxing
- Client consultations and treatment records
- Hygiene and treatment-room procedures
- Client privacy and professional conduct
- SWL Male Grooming’s treatment and service standards
All required working time—including compulsory training, treatment preparation, cleaning and administration—will be paid at the advertised hourly rate.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Professional, responsible and reliable
- Friendly and confident when working with clients
- Comfortable learning to provide massage and specialist grooming treatments for male clients
- Committed to excellent hygiene and client care
- Willing to learn and develop new practical skills
- Able to work primarily in central Brighton and occasionally in Worthing
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
Previous experience or qualifications in massage, beauty therapy, grooming or waxing would be an advantage. However, attitude, professionalism and a willingness to learn are the most important qualities.
