Base Materials Ltd operates across two sites (Whetstone and Frankley) and manufactures styling, modelling and tooling materials used to produce high-precision moulds, master models, jigs and fixtures for industries including automotive, aerospace, motorsport, marine and wider industrial applications.
We’re looking for a HR Officer to join on a permanent basis reporting into the HR Manager. With the business continuing to scale, you’ll play a key role in attracting talent and supporting wider HR activity across the organisation.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, communicates well and thrives in a dynamic environment with opportunities to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day support to line managers and employees.
- Management of ER casework - coaching managers on best practice and supporting meetings.
- End-to-end recruitment responsibilities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding.
- Management of the onboarding process.
- Provide general HR support and assist the HR Manager on wider HR initiatives.
About You
- HR degree or CIPD Level 5.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar generalist role with strong employment law knowledge.
- Experience working in a recruitment heavy role.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confident working independently and collaboratively.
Desirable Skills
- ATS and social media recruiting experience.
- Background in a fast-paced manufacturing or SME environment.
- HRIS experience.
