Job Description:
Robinson & Lawlor are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundworker / Labourer with a valid Forward Tipping Dumper (FTD) ticket to immediately start work on a Utility Scale Solar PV / BESS site in Forfar.
Any other machine tickets would be beneficial
Duties will include:
- Assisting with general groundworks and civil engineering activities.
- Operating a forward tipping dumper to transport materials safely around site.
- Supporting excavation, duct installation and backfilling operations.
- Manual handling of materials, tools and equipment.
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised.
- Assisting plant operators and following instructions from site supervisors.
- Working safely in accordance with site RAMS and company procedures.
Duration: 8 weeks minimum initially but there is the opportunity to continue on this site for the right candidate until Nov 2026. Possibility to continue on other sites across the UK if required.
Rate: £16-19 P/H CIS depending on experience
Must have the following:
- CSCS Card
- CPCS / NPORS FTD ticket
- Operator Experience
- References
- Good work ethic and positive attitude.
- Good understanding of health and safety on construction sites.
Desirable:
- Previous experience on utility, solar, or civil engineering projects.
- Banksman qualification.
- First Aid at Work.
- Additional plant tickets (roller, excavator, telehandler, etc.).
