Matchday Accessibility Assistant (Casual)

The Role:
- Welcome and support supporters in a professional, friendly and inclusive manner throughout their visit to Old Trafford.
- Assist supporters with the scanning of digital tickets and provide guidance on stadium entry procedures.
- Support disabled supporters, Personal Assistants and visitors with accessible routes, entrances, seating areas and facilities.
- Act as a point of contact for supporter enquiries and direct supporters to their seats and relevant stadium facilities.
- Assist with basic ticketing enquiries and escalate complex issues to the Disability Access Officer, Ticketing Team or relevant departments where required.
- Work closely with the Disability Access Officer, Accessibility team, Access Stewards and matchday teams to resolve accessibility-related issues.
- Provide information on accessibility services, stadium facilities and matchday procedures.
- Support pre-match accessibility checks and help identify any barriers that may affect the supporter experience.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, emergency and evacuation procedures always.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle supporter information appropriately in line with Club policies.
- Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive matchday environment for all supporters.
The Person:
Essential:-
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as hospitality, retail, events, sport, leisure or customer service.

Previous customer service experience in a face-to-face, hospitality, events, retail, stadium or customer contact environment.

Self-motivated, reliable and able to work effectively under pressure in a busy matchday environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative when responding to supporter enquiries.

A commitment to inclusion, equality and delivering excellent customer service.
Desirable:-
Experience supporting disabled people or working within an accessibility-focused role.

Understanding of visible and non-visible disabilities, neurodiversity and reasonable adjustments.

Experience working in a sporting, stadium or event environment.

Knowledge of digital ticketing systems and supporter services.

Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities when working with children and adults at risk.

Interest in promoting inclusion and accessibility within sport.
