Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfilment, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Will also involve some customer facing counter work and sales. Could lead to full time for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy.
- Organise and store products in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktaking as required.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely (training may be provided).
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic computer skills would be an advantage.
- A valid forklift licence is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
- Physical fitness is required as the role involves lifting heavy items and being on your feet for extended periods.
