Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide personal care to male service users within a fixed location.
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting clients with disabilities, including those with autism, by fostering a safe, respectful, and empowering environment. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication administration, ensuring safety and dignity at all times
- Implement individual support plans using techniques like applied behaviour analysis to promote positive behaviours and skill development
- Monitor health conditions and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies, providing patient care as needed
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and educators to deliver consistent and effective support tailored to each individual’s needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, behavioral progress, and any incidents or concerns
- Foster a respectful and inclusive environment that encourages independence, self-esteem, and community participation
Experience
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism and disabilities
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures in a caregiving context
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, including safety protocols and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and energetic while managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
Pay: £12.71 per hour
