Contract: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Starting from £24,979.50 per annum, dependent on experience.
Position Summary:
As Accounts Assistant, you will provide a professional and effective support service in all aspects of accounts administration. Supporting the Accounts Controller, you will assist in documentation, administration & follow up requisite in the Accounts domain carrying out activities & working within the accounts team helping with data being inputted into various systems and liaising with external and internal professionals, keeping the communication up to date for seamless stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties such as checking invoices, filing invoices and statements as well as dealing with purchase enquiries.
· Assistance in production on monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, daily banking’s and cashflow, credit control, as well as ad-hoc duties that come up within the accounting functions.
· Supplier invoices – entering on the SAGE system, arranging for payment.
· Bank reconciliation – regular and full reconciliation of bank account balances to SAGE. Quick resolution and clearance of any errors.
· Month end journal preparation and assisting with preparation of month end management accounting reports.
· Assist with development and analysis of KPIs.
· Assist with cash flow analysis and forecasting.
· Assist in ensuring that accounting tasks, analysis and reporting make efficient use of available systems.
· Raise and post invoices for all areas of the business.
· Assisting with weekly payroll management, including compliance with statutory requirements, generating and distributing payslips and addressing payroll queries.
· Post receipts from the bank.
· Maintain the financial records.
· Make sure customers pay on schedule, and follow up via phone, email, or letter.

Skills and Experience
- Education to GCSE standard to include English and Maths (Grade C / 4 or above)
- Experience of planning work and acting under instruction.
- Customer facing and administration experience is essential.
- Strong Keyboard skills and computer literacy
- Numerate, high attention to detail, good telephone manner, good level of written and spoken English, ability to work confidently alone or as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for new challenges
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on results.
- Ideally a minimum of 1 year experience in a finance role
