Make a Positive Difference in a Children's Residential Home
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Residential Support Worker to join a Children's Residential Home in Tipton, Sandwell, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This role is ideal for someone who already has experience within children's residential care and is passionate about providing consistent, safe and nurturing support to young people.
You will become part of a supportive residential team, helping young people develop independence, confidence and stability while maintaining high standards of safeguarding and child-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality day-to-day support to children and young people.
- Build positive and professional relationships with young people.
- Support young people with routines, education, activities and independence skills.
- Promote a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate daily records and reports.
- Support positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Maintain excellent safeguarding standards.
- Work effectively alongside colleagues and external professionals.
- Participate in shifts and sleep-ins where required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within a Children's Residential Home.
- Experience supporting children or young people with EBD.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a residential care team.
- Reliable, compassionate and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare would be advantageous, but candidates with strong relevant children's residential experience should still be considered if the client does not require Level 3 as mandatory.

Pay: £25,420.00-£35,150.29 per year
