Rizza's of Lossie is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ice Cream Shop Manager to lead our vibrant team. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and supervise team members to deliver excellent customer experiences
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the shop environment
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and promote a friendly atmosphere
- Assist with the preparation of ice cream products, including serving customers and managing stock levels
- Implement health and safety procedures in line with industry regulations
- Support marketing initiatives such as promotional events or new product launches
- Train new staff members in food production, customer service, and safety protocols
- Work closely with Rizza's of Huntly Manager in ordering stock.
- Embrace/respect the food safety and quality culture within the James Rizza & Sons business.
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel hospitality roles is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Customer-focused approach with exceptional communication skills
- Familiarity with restaurant or barista experience is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to ice cream or dessert preparation is a plus
