Deputy Headteacher
We are working closely with a, independent, specialist provision in Disley, seeking a dynamic, confident Deputy Headteacher to lead on their Quality of Education from January 2027.
This is a special opportunity to join a close-knit team of nurturing staff within a well-resourced specialist provision, with a host of incredible on-site facilities including allotments, farm animals and expansive gardens in the heart of the Peaks.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will lead a small team of teachers and SEND professionals, ensuring high Quality of Education across the school, working directly with the Headteacher to lead the school’s vision and direction.
Job specification:
· Full-time, permanent Deputy Headteacher
· Competitive salary: £66,000-£75,000 (not pro-rata!)
· KS2-4 age groups with complex ASC, SEMH and associated SEND
· Lead Quality of Education within the school
· Support school strategy for assessment, T&L and Quality of Education
· Liaise closely with the staff team, parents, multi-disciplinary professionals
· Hours 8-4pm
Person specification:
· QTS and a relevant degree
· Experience leading as a Senior Leader within assessments, T&L or Quality of Education
· Competence to evaluate, implement and maintain high quality education for all students
· Previously worked with students with a range of additional SEND/SEMH, ideally including ASD
· Resilience, compassion and understanding to liaise closely with MDTs, parents and children, being a friendly, reliable face around the school
· Belief in interactive, hands-on education, with focus on the outdoors and nature-related curriculums
