HealthNet Homecare is a specialist provider of home-based healthcare services, supporting over 240,000 patients across the UK. Working alongside the NHS and pharmaceutical companies, we deliver medications, nursing care, treatment administration and training, and patient support programmes in the comfort of patients' own homes. Our goal is to help patients access high-quality care outside of hospital, enabling them to manage their treatment safely, confidently, and independently.
We are looking for Paediatric Clinical Homecare Nurses to join our growing nursing team. Children’s nurses at HealthNet have the unique opportunity to support both children and adults in the community - whether that’s at home, school, or work - helping patients continue their daily lives while receiving the care they need.
The role of a Homecare Nurse makes a real difference to our patients, who can receive vital treatment in a safe, comfortable and familiar setting. Our patients may have conditions such as growth hormone deficiency, autoimmune disorders, or rare and orphan diseases.
As a Homecare Nurse, you’ll have the time and opportunity to provide true one-to-one care - from teaching patients or carers to self-administer injections, to delivering more complex IV therapies.
If you're a qualified Children’s Nurse looking for a role where you can truly make an impact on both paediatric and adult patients, using your passion and skills in an ever-evolving healthcare environment — HealthNet Homecare is the place for you to be part of something meaningful.
Who we are
Our Nurse Team is made up of specifically trained homecare professionals with the capability to support both straightforward and complex end-to-end therapies in a patient-focused and quality-driven manner.
Our vision is to be seen as the first choice for patient-centred homecare and to realise this vision, we work closely with the NHS and Pharmaceutical Companies to provide an array of services - from medication delivery and nursing services to patient support programmes. This allows patients to undertake treatment in the comfort of their own homes, with the correct support and to the same standards that would normally be received in a hospital or clinical environment.
Why us?
As a business, we realise that it is our people - aligned with a clear focus -that will ultimately deliver our vision. We focus on training programmes that allow our Clinical Nurse Team to go out into the community with confidence, backed by the knowledge of a strong business support network and the ability to promote our culture of patient-centred care.
We strongly believe in continuous professional development and providing the investment that enables colleagues to progress in their careers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver high standards of patient care on behalf of HealthNet and our healthcare partners
- Teach patients, carers, or family members to self-administer therapies, or deliver therapies directly in line with service-specific protocols
- Carry out telephone calls, virtual consultations, and home visits as part of patient support programmes
- Support patients and healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless transition between hospital and home care
- Maintain exceptional standards of service and patient experience
Travel Requirements
This is a field-based role, and travel is a key part of your working day. You’ll be visiting patients across a wide geographical area, with routes varying day to day depending on clinical needs.
While we aim to plan visits efficiently, there is no set location radius — meaning you may occasionally travel beyond two hours between patients. Travel time forms part of your working hours, and you’ll be supported by our scheduling team to help balance routes and patient priorities.
