We’re seeking a hands-on and driven Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance & Reliability team in Wrexham. This role is primarily focused on manufacturing equipment maintenance, where you’ll ensure machinery is operating safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production.
You’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality maintenance activities in a regulated environment, driving equipment performance while upholding the highest standards of cGMP, quality, and safety compliance. This is a days based position, annualised hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to maximise uptime and performance
- Diagnose faults and deliver effective troubleshooting solutions to minimise production downtime
- Support and execute equipment reliability improvements and root cause investigations
- Accurately complete maintenance records and CMMS updates, ensuring “right first time” documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support contractors onsite, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of work
- Maintain strict adherence to cGMP, EHS, and quality standards, contributing to site KPIs and audit readiness
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Proven experience in a multi skilled maintenance technician role within a manufacturing environment ideally FMCG or pharmacutical sectors.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills with good hands-on working knowledge of equipment like aseptic filling lines, autoclaves, lyophilizer’s , High Containment Equipment and Process Control Instrumentation is beneficial.
- Understanding of any of the following utility equipment including HVAC Systems , Air Compressors, Boilers/ Steam systems , Water Systems or refrigeration / chiller systems.
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related discipline
- Understanding of GMP-regulated environments and health & safety practices
