Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home or home care setting and must hold UK driving license. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, and supporting the healthcare team in delivering personalized care plans. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
- Perform basic IT tasks related to documentation and communication within the healthcare team.
- Uphold hygiene standards and maintain a clean environment for clients at all times.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- A genuine passion for providing quality care and support to individuals in need.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic work environment.
