Client Manager – Accountancy Practice

The Opportunity
A forward-thinking and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong practice experience who is ready to take the next step in managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality client service to a broad range of SMEs, sole traders and limited companies, while also supporting and developing junior members of the team.
Managing a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met
Reviewing year-end accounts, VAT returns and management accounts prepared by junior staff
Overseeing corporation tax and personal tax compliance
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, offering proactive financial and business advice
Supporting, mentoring and developing junior members of the accounts team
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Contributing to business development and supporting the firm’s continued growth
ACA / ACCA Qualified, or QBE with strong practice experience
Demonstrable experience working within an accountancy practice, ideally in a supervisory or client management position
A confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT and tax
Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workloads and lead a small team effectively
Proficient in cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS etc.)
