We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities. Responsibilities
- Provide personalised assistance to adults with learning disabilities, supporting their daily routines and activities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and medication management
- Support individuals in engaging with community activities, leisure pursuits, and social events
- Help develop and implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and any incidents or concerns
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, service users, families, and external professionals to ensure coordinated care
Skills
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities is desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with service users and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Good organisational skills to manage care plans and daily routines efficiently
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting individuals in community activities or appointments
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
Pay: £12.71 per hour
